Here are some general rules and guidelines to follow when using NeedItTakeIt.com

- For the safety of all members, we recommend that you not go alone to pick up (or drop off) an item unless you know the person you are getting the item from very well. Always bring someone else with you.

- For the safety of all members, we recommend that you not be alone when someone comes to pick up an item you are giving away unless you know the person you are giving the item to very well. Always have someone else at home with you at the time of pick up. If this is not possible, another option would be to set the item on your porch just before the arranged pickup time.

- Only request items if you need them. Do NOT request items to sell on eBay.com or elsewhere.

- You may request items to give to someone else.

- You cannot sell or trade your items through NeedItTakeIt.com. All items must be given away free of charge - no strings attached.

- Only list items that are in good, working condition.

- Please do not list clothing items or other linens that have stains, tears, etc.

- Please do not list items which contain adult content, nudity, explicit lyrics, etc.

- When you list an item, please include your zipcode so potential requesters know where they will need to go to pick up the item.

- An item can be listed in a maximum of two categories. If the item is requested in one category, it must be noted by the item owner in the post under the other category.

- When requesting an item, you must pick it up within three (3) days unless other options are agreed upon with the item lister. If you fail to pick the item up within three (3) days, the lister can make it available for someone else to request.

- Item listers can deliver items if they wish, but they are not required to.

- Pickup address details should be exchanged via sitemail or e-mail.

- When an item you have posted has been given away, please state that the transaction has been complete in the item's listing.

- When using the forums on NeedItTakeIt.com, please always be kind and courteous. Please do not use foul language or name calling.
